Building on the success of a recent collaboration, The Opioid Crisis, in partnership with Georgia Public Broadcasting, Susie Films will produce a one-hour PBS documentary film, Classroom Debate, that explores the impact debate-based education has on high school learning. The documentary will focus on how these programs work, explore the effect on engagement, collaboration, critical thinking, public speaking, listening and civility, and investigate current program expansion initiatives and efforts to reach all students. The documentary will advance the Hewlett Foundation Education Program’s K-12 Teaching and Learning goal of exploring learning modes that contribute to deeper learning.
