Jennifer Wei

Organizational Effectiveness Officer, Effective Philanthropy Group

Jennifer is the Organizational Effectiveness Officer in the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation’s Effective Philanthropy Group. She oversees capacity-building grantmaking that provides support for grantees across the foundation’s programs to be high-performing, sustainable organizations in achieving their missions.

Previously, Jennifer was the Chief Operating Officer of Techbridge Girls, which is dedicated to empowering girls through science, technology and engineering. She oversaw the spin-off of the organization from the Chabot Space and Science Center and established it as an independent nonprofit. She also led its national expansion, opening offices in new regions and scaling the operational infrastructure needed to support growth. In prior roles, she worked in business development at Turner Broadcasting Systems, principal investing at Goldman Sachs, and investment banking at Merrill Lynch.

Jennifer holds a dual bachelor’s degree in engineering and business from the University of Pennsylvania and a MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
